Prince of Wales Hospital is a regional acute government hospital located in the New Territories. It is also a teaching hospital of the Faculty of Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Officially opened in 1984 and named after the Prince of Wales, the hospital is designated under the New Territories East Cluster and provides approximately 1,650 hospital beds and 24 hours accident and emergency service with over 5,400 staff.
