The Kowloon Tong Education Service Centre of the Education Bureau is the education resource centre of the Hong Kong Education Bureau. The Centre is a 5-storey building with a gross floor area of 13,900 square meters. Completed in August 2006, the complex includes the Kowloon Regional Education Office of the Education Bureau, as well as conference venues, exhibition halls, lecture halls, multi-purpose rooms, and facilities such as the Hong Kong Teachers’ Centre, the Special Education Resource Centre, the Central Resources Centre and the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association. The lecture hall on the fourth floor can accommodate 400 people, allowing different educational groups to hold lectures and other activities.
The Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point / Liantang Port is the seventh land-based control point between Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
Through the use of the Regional Digital Control Centre at the Boundary Control Point, the real-time status of the Automatic Vehicle Clearance Support System (AVCSS) installed for Customs can be centrally visualised at the EMSD Headquarters in Kowloon Bay. EMSD’s frontline staff and engineers can monitor traffic flow and equipment status at multiple boundary sites remotely via centralised dashboards and reduce the need for on-site checks.
Scope of Work
Supply and installation of Audio-Visual and Video Conferencing Systems
The Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Link provides a strategic linkage between the Northwest New Territories and the Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities (HKBCF), the North Lantau and the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).
The 9km long dual two-lane carriageway reduces the travelling time between Tuen Mun South and HKIA from 30 minutes to 10 minutes. It not only helps divert traffic flows to relieve the existing traffic conditions of North Lantau, the Lantau Link and Tuen Mun Road, but also provides an alternative route to the airport, thus reinforcing the HKIA as a regional aviation hub. The public address system in all Service Galleries and Tunnel Buildings spans a distance of over 6 km and 7 buildings, and the 2 x 2-panel video wall enables the traffic control centre to see feeds from all CCTV cameras along the tunnel.
Scope of Work
Supply and installation of Public Address System in Service Gallery and Tunnel Buildings, and Video Wall System for Traffic Control and Surveillance Systems (TCSS)
